Tap the green paw button in the center of the bottom tab bar. Grant location permission when prompted (only asked when you start your first walk, never at launch). Your route renders live on the map. Tap the stop button to end the walk; you can then add a title or photo before saving.
Yes! TrackMyPaw is built for your whole pack. Add as many dogs as you like from your profile — each one gets its own photo, stats, and place on the leaderboard.
When you start a walk, you can pick whoever's coming along that day — one pup or the whole crew. The walk counts toward each dog you choose.
Walks require at least 10 seconds of movement and 10 meters of distance to save. If your walk fell below that, it won't be added to your journal. For longer walks that didn't save, make sure location permission is set to "While Using the App" or "Always" in iOS Settings → TrackMyPaw → Location.
Once you start a walk, TrackMyPaw keeps recording while your phone is locked or while you switch to another app. The blue location indicator at the top of iOS will be visible the whole time. If you force-quit the app, tracking stops — but whatever you recorded up to that point is waiting the next time you open TrackMyPaw, ready to save to your Journal, so your progress isn't lost.
Open any saved walk from your Journal and tap Share. TrackMyPaw turns your route into a beautiful card you can save to your photos or post wherever you like — sharing is always your choice.
Free accounts can record up to 5 walks total. After that, you'll be prompted to subscribe to TrackMyPaw Pro for unlimited walk recording. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial — you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then at no cost. The journal, leaderboard, photos, care records, and stats stay free even on the free tier.
Apple manages all subscriptions. Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → TrackMyPaw Pro → Cancel Subscription. If you cancel during the 7-day free trial, you won't be charged. After the trial, cancelling stops the renewal but your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase, then in the app go to Profile → Restore Purchases.
Tap the "…" button on their leaderboard row. You can Report the profile (choose a reason — inappropriate name, inappropriate photo, impersonation, harassment, or other) or Block them so their entries no longer appear for you. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Yes. Open Profile → Delete Account, type "delete" to confirm, and your walks, photos, dog profiles, care and health records, stats, and leaderboard entries are permanently removed. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, since Apple manages subscriptions independently of your TrackMyPaw account.
Yes. Your walk routes and photos are strictly private to you — other users cannot see them. Only each of your dogs' names, breeds, photos, and aggregate stats appear on the leaderboard. If you haven't set a dog photo, your profile photo is shown as a fallback avatar. Your dogs' care and health records are private to your account too, and are never shown to other users. We don't run ads, don't use analytics, and never sell your data or share it with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
